Sherryl Woods - New York Times Bestselling Author Home | Current Books | Backlist | Contest | Letter from Sherryl | Biography

Dear friends, This is the place for you to share your thoughts about my books as well as your tips on writing. Please don't use this as a forum to discuss works by other authors, pro or con. There are plenty of places you can go for general book discussions. I'd like this to be a friendly place where you can get to know others who enjoy my books. Stir up a little controversy if something in a book bugged you, as long as it's done in a reasonably gentle way. Feel free to ask questions of me and each other. I'll sign on as frequently as possible to answer your questions. Okay, then...jump in anytime. Sherryl

"Seaview Inn"

I can hardly wait to read the newest book! It seems to have been a lifetime ago when we met online. While stationed in Iraq during 2005, it often became very difficult to stand in line, waiting patiently for a phone to come be available. Looking to my left, I could see a long row of books just waiting to be read. I am not too choosy when it comes to reading, as long it isn't SciFi. Well, you caught me1 I am now hooked on anything by Sherryl Woods! I am looking forward to what you have to teach us this time, Sherry! having gone through a similar situation, it will be interesting to see if Luke can find true love as I did. Life has many mysterious twists and turns... Michael Howell Iraq 2004-2005

Of course, Luke finds true love, Michael. I can't possibly get away from these happy endings. I'm just so glad that there are lots of them in "real life," too...including yours. Now, get busy on that book you're supposed to be writing!

Michael Howell Sherrie, Believe me...i am trying to find the time. I am in Kosovo at the moment, trying to keep things on an even keel here while the elections and the struggle for independence continues. Kind of gives me chills when I compare the people of Kosovo with our early American settlers as they struggled to break the chains of England. Right or wrong, it was a struggle many still do not understand even today. Believe me...I want to see it come to be. I have about 1/3 of the book done to date. I have to continue to develop not only the flow of the book, but the psyche of my suspect. I'll keep you updated as much as I can! Thanks not only for your friendship, but your motivation as well! Michael

Excuses, excuses, Michael! Just because you have a mission in Kosovo with huge responsibilities doesn't mean you can't steal a few minutes a day to write one page. One page a day equals 365 at the end of the year, but I'll bet you get it finished before that. Remember that all of you who are aspiring writers...all it takes is one page a day to have at least the rough draft of a book written in a year. Write nothing because you can't find the time and at the end of the year what do you have? Nothing but an unfulfilled goal. Get busy.
