Sherryl's Readers' Forum

Dear friends, This is the place for you to share your thoughts about my books as well as your tips on writing. Please don't use this as a forum to discuss works by other authors, pro or con. There are plenty of places you can go for general book discussions. I'd like this to be a friendly place where you can get to know others who enjoy my books. Stir up a little controversy if something in a book bugged you, as long as it's done in a reasonably gentle way. Feel free to ask questions of me and each other. I'll sign on as frequently as possible to answer your questions. Okay, then...jump in anytime. Sherryl

Hi Liz...At the moment I don't have any plans to revisit the Adams clan. I stopped the series, because I couldn't bear the thought of having Grandpa Harlan die. However, in the back of my mind, I've been toying with the idea of bringing many of the family members back for a Christmas story at some point. Stay tuned. If that happens, you'll read about it here first.

I discovered you earlier this year and have been trying to obtain and read all of your books. Started the And Baby Makes Three series in August. Had to stop at 3 points becasue I could not find the next book in the series. Finally obtained "The Unclaimed Baby" and finshed all in series. I would have liked it to go on but like you I did not want to see Grandpa Harlan pass away. Keep up the great writing. Hope you make it to Seattle. I go to lots of book signing and would love to meet you in person. Rosie

Hi Rosie, How did you find the book "Unclaimed Baby"? I've been searching for it forever and still nowhere to be found. Please post here or email me at sparkygal_angelphan@excite.com Much appreciated. I wish I had a Grandpa like Harlan Adams. I never knew my grandparents because they passed away before I was born. Always looking forward to new books from Sherryl Woods. P.S. You are one awesome romance novelist. Keep it up. I'd love to get mail from you but realize that you are way too busy to chat. Do you by any chance have all of the Adams series at your bookstore? Thanks for reading. I can almost feel like I'm part of the characters when I read your books. Sincerely, Heather

I have a very loosely-formed plan to do some sort of Christmas book that will take us back to Los Pinos. Nothing's definite yet, but stay tuned. I hope to know something soon. And if all goes well, I might wind up doing some Christmas visits to the Calamity Janes, the Devaneys and the Rose Cottage Sisters sometime down the road.

Hi Sherryl, You are one of my favorite authors. I just can't get enough of reading your books. The first book I ever bought was The Cowboy and His Baby. It was then that I fell in love with Harlan and his boys. I am missing 4 books from this incredible series. I do hope you will decided to reprint at some point: Natural Born Daddy, The Unclaimed Baby, The Cowboy and His Wayward Bride, and Suddenly Annie's Father. Make it a 4-in-1 Adams anthology. The best thing about your books especially the Adams clan. The first time I read it I was still in high school. It was my first real romance book. Now when I re-read The Cowboy and His Baby, it is still as good as it was the first time. It never gets boring even though I have read it at least 3 times in the past several years. It always makes me laugh and oh how I wish to be a part of the Adams clan. There's just something about Grandpa Harlan that appeals to your readers. This was the series that started it all for me. Just wanted you to know how much your books have meant to me. It takes me to places I've never ever been. Thank you. What's new on the horizon for 06. Sincerely, Heather

For all of you who are looking for missing Adams books, especially The Unclaimed Baby and Suddenly Annie's Father, we still have them at my bookstore. We just reopened today after a long holiday break, but we're only going to be open on Saturdays during February and March. Your best bet is to compile the list of books you're missing and call between 10 a.m. and 5 p.m. EST, 804-224-4560. Nancy will be able to check stock for you, take a credit card order, or give you a total and you can send in a check or money order. I do know we have the above two, but we have a number of others -- though not all -- from the series as well.
