Dear friends, This is the place for you to share your thoughts about my books as well as your tips on writing. Please don't use this as a forum to discuss works by other authors, pro or con. There are plenty of places you can go for general book discussions. I'd like this to be a friendly place where you can get to know others who enjoy my books. Stir up a little controversy if something in a book bugged you, as long as it's done in a reasonably gentle way. Feel free to ask questions of me and each other. I'll sign on as frequently as possible to answer your questions. Okay, then...jump in anytime. Sherryl

In my excitement I posted a message in the wrong forum. I wanted to delte it but that doesn't seem to be an option, so I just wanted to say that I love this series.

Thanks so much. I loved writing about the Sweet Magnolias so much that I have now completed a fourth book for the series. It features Jeanette, the head of spa services at The Corner Spa and an honorary Sweet Magnolia. There's also a storyline about Mary Vaughn, the Realtor who tried so hard to steal Ronnie away from Dana Sue. Mary Vaughn, as is typical of her, tries her best to steal the story, but I managed to rein her in. We'll also discover what it's like to spend Christmas in Serenity, which is good timing since the release date is now December 2008. At the moment the title is SECOND TO NONE, but this could change, so stay tuned.

Oh I can't wait!! I fell in love with this series. I am in the process of buying it again. I lost all of my books in a housefire on Halloween. It will be nice to read them all at once. It is one of those comfort stories

Kim

I am so sorry about your fire. How devastating! Hope you were able to salvage at least some of the things in your life that matter most to you. Also wanted you and everyone else to know that if you keep your eyes open after the first of the year in places like Target, Wal-Mart and Meiers stores, you may be able to find autographed copies of the first three Sweet Magnolias books and of MENDING FENCES. I spent two days last week in Chicago at the Levy distribution center signing about 5200 total copies of these books. Not sure which stores will have them, but if you like to collect autographed books, be sure to watch for these. They are stickered on the front with an "Autographed Copy" label and will be in some sort of Author Spotlight display.

Thank you Sherryl, I did save a couple things. I am a freak about pictures and I had millions but I seemed to have saved at least some from most ages of the kids. I think the hospital ones were gone but I did save some. As long as I have the kids and hubby I am all set. The upstairs was engulfed in 10 minutes and the firemen told us that they never would have gotten out if we had been home. Thankfully my older son had a hockey game and the rest of the family was trick or treating. The house was built in 1918 by my great -great uncle and I bought it from my grandfather about 10 years ago. We still haven't heard from the insurance company so we can't rebuild yet. I actually reviewed your books and that is how I came about loving them so much. Now I am addicted. I also read Mending fences and that was incredible. You hit the emotions right on.

Kim

Thanks, Kim. MENDING FENCES was more serious than what I usually write, so it was hard to stay in that somber mood for 400+ pages of manuscript, but the response has really been gratifying. I'm glad you were able to save some things. Pictures, I know, mean so much when it comes to remembering the past. And knowing that your family is safe means even more. Happy holidays to all of you.
