Dear friends, This is the place for you to share your thoughts about my books as well as your tips on writing. Please don't use this as a forum to discuss works by other authors, pro or con. There are plenty of places you can go for general book discussions. I'd like this to be a friendly place where you can get to know others who enjoy my books. Stir up a little controversy if something in a book bugged you, as long as it's done in a reasonably gentle way. Feel free to ask questions of me and each other. I'll sign on as frequently as possible to answer your questions. Okay, then...jump in anytime. Sherryl

Sherryl,'I love & have read all your books, but Mending Fences really got to me in a way no others have. You sent a message of great importance & impact. It really made me think. I really like the way the 2 Moms choose to find the answers they needed.

Ireland, thank you so much. MENDING FENCES was definitely more serious than most of my stories, but I really wanted to deal with the topic of date rape in a way that might touch both teenagers and their moms, whether those teens are girls or boys. Girls need to understand that they have the right to say no. Boys must learn that no means NO. Sadly, it's not just teens who can fall victims to date rape. Even some older women who don't have a strong sense of self-worth can find themselves in situations with men who won't take their feelings into account. They need to learn that saying no should be respected by the men in their lives. If it isn't, then they are victims of a crime and help and support is available.
